I am a personal account holder and business savings account holder with HSBC and first applied on 11th May. I received the application email and heard nothing.

I called, tweeted and DM’d HSBC but it was not until I emailed CEO and Commercial Complaints and reapplied on 26th May that anything happened. I called HSBC on another matter on 27th May and they were aware of my complaints.

Out of the blue I received EchoSign on 28th May (26th May application) and then on 29th May funds were transferred.

Complaining by email for existing customers may just help to move things quicker.
