The number of complaints I did get about Tide during the time the Bounce Back Loan scheme was live was huge, in a nutshell they did not have access to enough funds to process the number of customers they had, and as such could not supply a BBL to a great number of their customers.

What made the situation worse was they, for one reason or another, listed those who were on their “waiting list” on the BBL database, which then caused no end of problems for their customers who had to approach another lender, as those lenders believed, incorrectly, that they had an application in or had even got a BBL with Tide when that was not the case.

They soon shut down their scheme and their waiting list and took a lot of stick when they did so.
