One new challenger bank that did fire out a large number of Bounce Back Loans was Starling Bank, however being another of the handful of banks that did accept new customers who could go on to apply for a BBL they had to put in place a waiting list.
Sadly, things did go pear shaped several times during the scheme for Starling Bank, as they did decline a lot of their customers for a Bounce Back Loan but based on their size and the number and value of loans they did fire out of the door the number of BBLs they did approve was impressive.
People tend to have a Marmite type of opinion about Starling Bank, if you did not get an account or did not get BBL from them or had been stuck on their waiting list for months you will possibly hate them, but for others Starling Bank are loved and can do no wrong.
