It was good to see Dame Angela Eagle MP (Labour MP for Wallasey) rip into Sir Tom Scholar yesterday and demand to know why information about Rishi Sunak’s Budgets are leaked to the press before he stands up and gives his Budget in the House of Commons Chamber.
She rightly points out that when armed with that leaked information someone could use it to bag a fortune by making relevant investments. In fact, with the Government embroiled in so much sleaze right now, people have probably made a fortune with that leaked information.
