Cooperative Bank Want Me to Visit a Branch When I Am Isolating

I’m in my 3rd week of trying for a Cooperative Bank business account.

I had surgery, and was supposed to be isolated and shielding, but they insisted I had to get a mandate witnessed.

I understand why, but if they’re going to refuse the account because of a credit check, why not do the check first?

Only do the paperwork if you pass the checks?

It just seems cruel and inefficient to me.
