I managed to get through to “HSBC” yesterday by phone and was told that if I hadn’t received echo sign documents by Friday my application “was probably rejected”
However, I don’t believe (even though it was HSBCs published helpline) I was talking to someone at HSBC due to it clearly being a call centre, clearly reading a script. I could also hear someone else in the background giving advice “have you tried taking the filter out and cleaning it”
Hence why I haven’t published on Twitter don’t want to fuel fake news or add to the already stressed.
For reference we are an HSBC customer 20 years + have an overdraft with them (I’ve heard this is an issue) that we haven’t dipped into for over two years. Applied for around 5% of our T.O just incase.
