So interestingly I’ve not had my drawdown yet, however I have just had a call from HSBC checking that my bank details on the DD mandate are correct and now that they’ve checked the funds will be available in about 2 hours
They were querying the DD details because they couldn’t distinguish between their own sort codes and Tesco Bank sort codes, so had decided that the bank account number was invalid
And amazingly 24 hours later there is no sign of any money
And the eagle has landed
