The last but one set of official figures have just been released regarding the number of Bounce Back Loans that have been approved to date.
At the last previous count covering the 4th of May 2020 through to and including the 21st of February 2021 some 1,500,466 BBL’s had been approved and paid out, however the newly updated figures reveal an additional 30,629 SME’s secured a BBL up to and including the 21st of March 2021.
Therefore, in total to date some 1,531,095 BBL’s have been paid out, and in monetary figures that equates to some £46.53bn.
Those figures do of course include the newly topped up BBL’s.
What is somewhat disconcerting is that there have been 2,056,587 BBL applications in total, so for one reason or another 525,492 applications were declined or withdrawn to date.
Also somewhat worrying is that the British Business Bank are still unsure or do not wish to reveal where some 2017 BBL’s went, and in total that equates to some £62,547,705 in loans, either they have no record of where they went or they went to a secretive Crown Dependency or Commonwealth Country, we will not know until they tell us of course.
Funny how your mind works when they keep things secret.
Oh well 6 days left now until the doors shut on the Bounce Back Loan scheme at 11pm on the 31st of March, Good Luck if you do have an application in.
