Hi my story compared to a lot of others was straightforward. First day spoke to HSBC to open feeder account and I’m still waiting.
Then spoke to Barclays who I bank with and still waiting to open business account.
I also opened current/business account with Starling and received my cards and activated within 3 days. I had given up now with Hsbc and Barclays as I couldn’t get through.
I applied on sole trader day at 15.00 and application signed and sent back. Kept checking and eventually forms to sign. Money was in within a few hours. Start to finish was 25 hours.
I do feel that I was lucky as there still seems to be people trying that I recognise from when I applied still not got anywhere which was not the idea of the scheme.
