Spoke to HSBC just now about the imaginary feeder (applied a week ago).

Was advised they couldn’t give a time scale, but it is a two part process,

i) open feeder account and
ii) submit paperwork for loan, ie the loan process hasn’t actually started yet.

Was advised that I could/should apply for BBL simultaneously elsewhere but only accept one while they work through their system and it wouldn’t appear as applied now if another lender checked.
