Just a quick update to those watching the clock tick down in the hope that they will escape claims against them for blagging the Bounce Back Loan Scheme.
The Fraud, Error and Recovery Bill which is working its way through Parliament and is expected to become law is set to be debated in the House of Lords.
Regarding the Bounce Back Loan Scheme, that Bill, when it becomes law, which it is expected to do, will give the Covid Corruption Commissioner some new powers retrospectively.
These include, but are not limited to (regarding BBL Blaggers):
- Raiding Properties
- Retrieving Funds from Bank Accounts
- Giving Fraud Investigators More Time to Investigate Cases
They Know Who Blagged a Bounce Back Loan
Be aware, the Government now knows, beyond all reasonable doubt, the names and details of everyone who blagged a Bounce Back Loan thanks to behind the scenes analysis of tax returns, self assessments and Bounce Back Loan applications.
The list of “the guilty” is huge, and if you did for example, over-egg your turnover or pulled any other stunts, then make no mistake about it your name is on the list and a decision HAS been made as to what to do with you.
