A helpline caller that was having problems with Lloyds bank accepting the repayment of their dodgy Bounce Back Loan as part of the BBL Summer of Love (Voluntary Repayment Scheme) has just received compensation and an apology from the bank after I stepped in and shamed the bank.
Try as he may, he couldn’t get any sense out of the bank when trying to repay the money he blagged, so I posted up the following Tweet as I know the eyes in the sky religiously read my X timeline, whilst also ensuring the Cabinet Office who launched the Voluntary Repayment Scheme were also aware directly:
Low and behold the bank contacted the customer after getting a kick up their backside from the Cabinet Office, they accepted his payment and gave him a nice drop of compensation too:
All things considered, that isn’t a bad outcome, blag a BBL, repay it and the bank apologises and sends you some money for poor service, what a time to be alive!
If you are having a problem repaying a BBL or a bank is messing you about with a dodgy or legit Bounce Back Loan, give me a bell and I will get you sorted.
My fundraiser is live if you want to help keep the helpline going through the BBL Winter of Love, which is when the Government via the Public Sector Fraud Authority will be chasing around 200,000 defaulted Bounce Back Loans and the Directors and Sole Traders who applied for them.
