Former Liverpool FC manager Jürgen Klopp has dismissed rumors that he could be taking over at Real Madrid this summer, calling them “nonsense

“They Haven’t Called”

The 58-year-old, who left Anfield at the end of the 2023-24 season, has not returned to coaching since stepping down and currently serves as head of global football for Red Bull. Reports had linked him to the Spanish giants as a potential replacement for Alvaro Arbeloa, but Klopp says no contact has been made.

Telling reporters during the Magenta TV World Cup team presentation in Munich,

If Real Madrid had called, we would have heard about it by now. They haven’t called, not even once. My agent hasn’t been contacted either. That’s all nonsense.

While he did not rule out returning to coaching in the future, Klopp stressed that it is not something he is planning right now.

For my age I’m fairly advanced in life, but as a coach I’m not finished.  Who knows what the coming years will bring? Nothing is planned at the moment

“I Will Never Manage Another Club in England Besides Liverpool”

Klopp made it clear that he has no intention of managing any other Premier League club besides Liverpool FC.

What I do know for sure is that I will never manage another club in England besides Liverpool. That’s 100%.

During his tenure at Liverpool, which began in October 2015, Klopp won the UEFA Champions League in 2019 and guided the club to its first Premier League title in 30 years during the 2019-20 season. He also lifted the FA Cup, two League Cups, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Before his time at Liverpool, Klopp enjoyed success in Germany with Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund, winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012.
